Coordinator, Beat-the-Streets Wrestling Camps
Through the generosity of Beat-the-Streets Wrestling, six-three New York City middle and high school wrestlers from public, private, and parochial schools, were given the opportunity, and successfully completed a five day intensive wrestling camp at Sullivan County Community College, Loch Sheldrake, New York.
The coaching and training was offered by Bill Crum, Ryan Cooley, Mike Torriero, and Justin Hoch, Beat-the-Streets Coaching Staff, Todd Bloom, Past Wrestling Coach, Brandeis High School, Steve Flanagan, Wingate Educational Campus, and Larry Cantor, Commissioner of Wrestling, PSAL, and Coordinator, Beat-the-Streets Wrestling Camps.
Kendall Cross, 1996 Freestyle Olympic Champion, was the camp's guest clinician. He
truly motivated all present.
Within the five day wrestling period, Monday, August 9th through Friday, August 13th ten instructional sessions were presented, combined with drilling and competitive wrestling.
An intramural tournament was held on Friday morning.
Cardiovascular development included morning runs.
This camp met the needs of all levels of skills.
